On March 6, 2022, a prayer conference “Prayer for Ukraine” was held in the premises of the Christian Faith Center of Federal Way. Senior Pastor of the Church Casey Treat kindly provided a church hall and the team for this important event.
When we entered the hall, we were greeted very warmly by the service staff, as well as a beautifully decorated hall with elements of illumination of the Ukrainian Flag, yellow and blue.
The service began with the performance of the Spiritual Anthem of Ukraine “God the Great One”. The Bishop of the Slavic Churches of Washington, Vasyl Galanesi, opened the service and called for prayer. The music group from the “Life” Christian Church performed two psalms of worship “God will protect you” and “I will pray quietly”. After the Prayer led by the Pastor of the Seattle Bethany Church Vasyl Papirnyk, the psalm “When Healing Comes” was performed by a group of young people from the Ukrainian Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.
Officials were also invited to the prayer conference. Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Seattle Valeriy Holoborodko introduced the guests and the guests had the opportunity to address the audience. Official guests included Congressman Derek Kilmer, Senator Claire Wilson, Mayor of Tacoma Victoria Woodards, members of the Tacoma City Consular Council, members of the Federal Way Consular Council, and Phil Gardner, a lieutenant governor. The address was made by Congressman Derek Kilmer and the Mayor of Tacoma Victoria Woodards. The Blessing Prayer was performed by Casey Treat, Senior Pastor of the Christian Faith Center.
The author Tatiana Myronets read a poem and a group of young people from the Church of Grace sang the psalm “God Save Ukraine”. Then prayers for Ukraine were performed by the ministers of the Church of Christ: Ivantsov Andriy, Kasyanyuk Stepan, Lobanovsky Victor, Vasyl Antemie, Borys Horash, Leonid Vityukov. The call to collect donations to help the Ukrainian people was made by the senior pastor of CitiHill Church Vasyl Botsyan. A group of brothers from the Slavic Evangelical Church sang the Christian hymn “Prayer for Ukraine”
At the end of the Prayer Conference, the Superintendent of the Slavic Churches of the Assembly of God, Bishop Viktor Prokhor, called for prayer for unity. At the end of the call, he invited all the ministers of the Slavic churches to the stage for a special prayer for unity. The prayer was performed by the brothers: Senior Pastor of the First Ukrainian Baptist Church Konstantin Kochmarchyk, Senior Pastor of the Blessing Church Vasyl Kuksyuk, and the prayer was concluded by Bishop Viktor Prokhor. The map of Ukraine was highlighted on the screens, all the brothers turned their hands towards the map of Ukraine and blessed Ukraine with Aaron’s prayer of the Blessing.
