What the shepherds saw and heard as they tended their flocks in the fields of Bethlehem, they could never forget.
The sight was truly majestic. Before their eyes, the heavens opened, and the host of the Lord loudly proclaimed the Good News, which we call the Gospel: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:14
The angel announced to the astonished shepherds: “And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:10
The Word came to earth. The Word of Truth. The Word of Justification. The Word of Salvation. The Word of Redemption. The Word that nourishes. The Word that brings life. The Word that gives joy. Life-giving and essential. The Word proclaimed to all nations, languages, and tribes—on every continent and island. Blessed are those who have received this Word.
