Однак цього тижня нам знову відмовили у нашому проханні про друк Євангелій у головному офісі Гедеонових братів у штаті Теннессі. Причина відмови – відсутність листів прохань від пасторів. Нам потрібні листи від пасторів церков нашого штату Вашингтон і, можливо, всього регіону.

Greetings!
I am writing on behalf of _________________________________________________________________.
We are grateful to God and The Gideons International for the important work you are doing. The Word of God is transforming lives today, and your efforts to make Scripture readily available are unmatched.
I am writing to you because of an urgent need that has arisen due to the changing political situation in the world, specifically the war in Ukraine. Since 2022, a significant number of Ukrainians have come to America, fleeing the war. Many of these refugees have settled in Washington State, with additional communities connected to Slavic diasporas in Oregon and California.
The importance of ensuring the availability of Ukrainian or bilingual Ukrainian/English New Testaments at this time cannot be overstated. The circumstances are unique, and the need is great.
Language has become a point of contention during this war due to Russian propaganda tactics used to justify their attack and because language is at the core of cultural identity, which many are dying to protect. While some Ukrainians may understand Russian, handing a Russian New Testament to a Ukrainian non-Christian refugee is inconsiderate at best and offensive at worst. Neither instance aids in witnessing goals.
While digital solutions are helpful, an online Bible is not a successful substitute for a physical Bible. Moreover, not all adults, teens, and children have access to personal devices for daily use.
For these reasons, I implore you to add the Ukrainian language to the Gideons’ official list of authorized Bibles/New Testaments for distribution. Additionally, please make printed copies available in The Gideons’ Store for any Gideon to purchase for personal witnessing.
